Formed in November 1968, as Allied liesure. The games initially produced by Allied were only electromechanical and solid state pinballs however in March 1973 they produced a video game called Paddle Battle this was a clone of Atari’s success called PONG. Allegedly Paddle Battle outsold Atari’s PONG. Pinballs created by Allied were mainly sold under the name Allied Leisure Industries or ALI for short.

In November 1979 Allied Leisure had a change in company. It was at this point Allied Leisure Industries was no more.

Centuri in its modern conception was formed when former Taito of America president and his partner took over Allied Leisure, Inc. then renaming to “Centuri”. Centuri, originally based in Hialeah, Florida, was one of the top six suppliers of coin operated video game machinery in the United States. Many of the machines distributed in the USA under the Centuri name were licensed from overseas manufacturers, particularly Konami.

Centuri faded away in the early 90’s with the collapse of the coin-op market. Coin-op gaming then developed a sub culture following and in an effort to preserve and maintain the existing games on the market. CENTURI ENTERTAINEMENT was launched.
